If i plugged a flash drive into a netbook, would it be additional storage?

USB flash drives are slow, online games might work, video might work. The best solution is a compact flash card and pcmcia adapter. They are much faster, designed not to wear out with many cycles, but were expensive to make and are now considered obsolete. If you can find a good one that is big enough for your needs they are a nice solid state drive substitute.
