How do you fix a severely mistreated dog, we rescued from neglect and severe abuse?

My husband and I rescued a 5 yr old Jack Russell Terrier from a girl, who had young children, not only was she cruel to the dog, so were her kids. She told us that the home she got her from was even more cruel and neglectful. This dog has a sweet personality, but very unbecoming behaviors and habits. Lol once you become a resident of california you need to have a CA drivers license. But if you are just a visitor there is no problem as long as your license from your home country remains valid. To obtain a CA drivers license you will need to go to the dmv office and do all the process which is to pay the fee to obtain a the license. You will also need to take a vision and written test . Plus a picture will be taken as well. But before you do that I would say get the answer written tests from another person that has already ped it so that you can study the questions its was way much easier for me than studying them from the CA driver hand book. But you can try studing them from the handbook is well. Study for about a week then go to the dmv office to begin all the process and take the written test and if you fail don't worry you have three chances to p before another application fee is required. You can get a CA drivers handbook at any DMV office for free. The application fee to obtain an auto drivers license is now $31.00 (Note since you already have a drivers license which is from another country you don't have to take the driving test).

I can't tell you why she does that or what it means, but I can tell you that it's fairly common. Both of my cats do it at times, around their bowls and even in the bathroom sink when they're taking a drink from the faucet. Some cats do it around their litter box. I volunteer in the cat room at a local shelter and I've seen a lot of cats do that same strange thing. Some dip their paw into their water bowl, lick their paw, then repeat. It's apparently how they prefer to drink water. Try to ignore that behavior if it's driving you crazy, and keep in mind it's no reflection on how you maintain her food and water bowls. Think of it as a little 'quirk.' We all have unique quirks of our own. Try double-stick tape to hold her bowls in place so she can't easily spill them.

Scared of bigger breeds and then own one?

I posted earlier today re: puppy buyers remorse - my husband and I bought a puppy yesterday and made the mistake of buying a 3 month old shepherd/lab/pitbull mix EVEN though I am truly terrified of bigger dogs (bad incident with a pit bull that happed a few years back -the pit bull was an old roomate of my husbands dog, I was left alone with that dog one day while visiting, I tried to take her outside where she literally dragged me around the entire yard even though I was pulling with all my might - I had NO IDEA how strong that dog was, then it started growling and ripped her leash in two when we were finally getting in the door, where I proceeded to lock myself in the bathroom as she bounced off the living room walls and snarled/barked,and I waited there crying until someone came home!) basically the dog was alone all the time and had a lot of pent up frustration but it was scary. Anyways, now not only do I look at this puppy who is already at the max size I'm comfortable with, with a large knot in my stomach knowing how big/strong this dog will get (I'm only 5'3 110lbs), I think about the fact that and I don't want to come home to a frustrated large dog every day (has to be crated during the day 8-5 and at night since not potty trained), and my poor cat has already fallen into depression (like me I guess).... I told my husband the best thing to do is take the puppy back when she's still small, instead of waiting until she's bigger and I feel uncomfortable, however he is bonded now and has the notion to just give it some time... But how will he feel if I don't overcome the big dog fear and he gets REALLY bonded? I don't want to be scared of the dog a year from now, decide I can't do it anymore, and have my husband hate forever for getting rid of his best friend... Any advice? Is it best to just return puppy now or wait and see if I can overcome my big dog fear?

um well i can't answer your first question because i'm not sure what expansion packs you have and what you installed before the one you uninstalled. But if usually they ask for the most recent expansion pack that was put into production. Say you got h&m fashion but you just bought nightlife, it should still ask for h&m fashion to run your sims 2. And if you just run the most recent sims program it will play all your expansion packs with it.

Pain after appendectomy?

I had my appendix out on Monday (so just about a week ago) and I have been having a lot of aches and pains since! I have been getting up to walk around every hour, and am making great progress. But my arms and legs have the strangest aches, including the crook of my elbow, right above my knee, my forearm, etc. I'm 23 and have never been on bed rest before. Is all this pain normal? It's mild and I haven't had any swelling or tenderness to the touch just a lot of weird aches! I'm worried about blood clots but I have been wearing compression socks. Any info would be great :)

At the hospital, he got 3 stitches on the cut at his hairline (they actually had to shave a small patch to do it). My dad picked me up from the hospital while all of that was going on, I was scared as hell on the way home just from the way my dad was looking at me. Long story short, he whipped my something horrible for that, had me crying too. Though that was probably still nothing to getting stitches in your head. The next morning when my brother came downstairs, his face was all black and blue. I tried to say sorry again to him and he just pointed to his face and walked away. So now my brother won’t talk to me, my parents are pissed at me, and on top of that my brother is telling all his friends that I attacked him and that I got a “” for doing it! I had a cesarean too with my first baby and an epidural. The epidural had been administered while I was trying to push my little one out naturally but when she didn't descend they took me to theatre to peform the section. Before they cut they got a kind of pincer thing and pinched my tummy to see if I could feel it, I felt it slightly so they gave me more anaeshetic (epidural). Try not to stress, you will be awake when they perform the cesarean so you can tell them if you feel anything, if you do then they would stop immediately but I doubt very much it would get that far as they will pinch your tummy before they cut you to see if you feel it. Good luck and try not to worry.

Should I use white charcoal or erasers?

I'm 14 and a pretty good artist, and I use charcoal. However, in my drawings, I'm never sure if I should use my white charcoal or an eraser for highlights because sometimes the white charcoal doesn't look right or looks slightly yellow. My 6-month old has started to reject solids after eating them for about three weeks - any suggestions?

Has anyone experienced this before? I started feeding my son solids about three weeks ago. He was doing really well (he was exclusively fed prior to starting the solids). However, last week, I noticed a change in his bowel movements and he appeared to be constipated - he didn't have a bowel movement for four days. My pediatrician suggested I give him pear juice and water (which didn't help) and a glycerin suppository (which did). Now, he is showing absolutely no interest in solid foods and only wants to be nursed. I'm wondering if he's ociating his stomach ache and constipation with the solids - is that possible at 6 months? Should I wait a while before trying to introduce the solids again?

When I go into the Dell webcam Central on my Vostro 3750 it allows me to change the resolution that the camera sees and it lets me choose 320 X 240, 640 X 480, 1280 X 720, and 1920 X 1080. However anytime I use my webcam outside of the Dell Webcam Central it only displays in 320 X 240. Which let's be honest isn't exactly idea. Besides it looking completely terrible, it doesn't capture very much of the picture, and barely captures my head within the frame. Ideally I would like to be able to at least use the 1280 X 720 resolution outside the software, but can't for the life of me figure out how. It is a huge inconvenience and essentially renders the on-board webcam moot.

Why is my right front car speaker louder than my front left one?

They are VR3 6 1/2" 3 way speakers, Im putting them in my 1998 Dodge Neon Highline, Im also not sure about the polarity, one wire is green, and the other is red AND black, possative? Negative? I know its not a amperage problem, because the right speaker is loud as heck, and no its not the balance knob, I turned it to the left and right and when it was on the left it sounded like scratchy crap, but the right one is like thunder, totally normal, Is it possable that one side of a cars audio system can not work? The back left speaker works tho, they all do sept for the front left one.

I think i have endocrine problems but doctors wont check it out, the endocrinologist said my arm reflexes didnt work right and that meant signs of pituitary problems, but because the blood work came back normal i cant get any help for it, even though my joints are almost brittle too, my bone density was high risk but the bone scan came back normal, I get headaches a lot but cant get help from doctors like taking hormones for my joints, ive been taking stuff on my own like soy isoflavones for my joints and that seems to help. they have programs in my area to help financially but i think its like an HMO and if they dont feel like helping they dont. because stuff on tests dont come out, im forced to live without the help, any suggestions? I think pituitary problems run in my family, im also short about 4ft 5 and ive shrunk too, i was 4ft6, I gain weight really fast so i cant eat much, it takes me a long time to really feel hungry.not sure how to deal with all this.

I am very sad. Not completely sad for I feel joyful because Jesus Christ lives in me, but sad meaning "not happy." I have always wanted to get married. I have had three attempts at relationships and all of them failed. It was weird. The second time I asked someone out and that someone rejected me. I was embarred, but quickly got over it. And the third time, thank God for the Internet, I really liked an Orthodox priest, and the reason why I say "Thank God for the Internet," is because it was over the Internet that I had found out that Orthodox priests can only marry prior to ordination and not after... A nice joke would it be if I were to really fall in love with that person.... I still like him, but I am working on conquering those feelings... I am such a fool when it comes to relationships... Understandably so, I have never dated anyone, hence I don't have much experience.... Maybe I am not attractive, I don't know... I planted some potatoes early this year (like Feb.) and they have gotten really, really tall to the point of falling over. Most have flowered already have healthy foliage and looked to be doing well but when I pulled one up today the potatoes were only the size of a pea! What went wrong? My knee is really loose and hurts randomly. This from a football injury over a year ago. What's the problem?

I took a hit to my knee during practice about a year ago. My foot was planted and the hit came from the outside directly on the joint. I was then pushed sideways over the guy who fell on it in the resulting pile-up. The joint immediately swelled up, it hurt extremely bad and I could barely walk on it/ put any pressure on it that day. I had a lot of trouble for a couple of days making it up the stairs and lifting my leg over the lip of the shower. pain and swelling persisted for at least two months, most likely do to my continuing to practice. It hurt to bend, and to put pressure on it and the pain was sharp. I never sought medical help for stupid sports related reasons, I just sucked it up and tried to keep practicing. I got hit in the same location a second time about four months later and suffered a repeat of the symptoms except they were less severe. Finally, during wrestling season my leg was locked out during a match and again it swelled up, hurt to bend and was difficult to walk. I got an MRI that was inconclusive and it was umed I was fine, yet still today my knee is really loose and randomly becomes painful. The pain is dull and is located both inside my knee and on the inside side of my knee. What can the problem be and is it too late for treatment?

Pinnacle game profiler help?

i have all of the controls i want sent in the configuration for my xbox 360 controller and it works fine exept one major problem every time there is a pop up or i go into a game (combat arms) it stops working period. I changed the game executable file to C:\Nexon\Combat Arms\CombatArms.exe andi have set the settings to be able to detect recently downloaded games and i have spicificly typed the combat arms executable file directly to the Detect EXE yet it will still not work. i know that it does work on this game becuase it worked the first time i tried it with the trial version of pinnacle game profiler. i have also constanlty used the PinnacleUpdate but it still hasn't fixed the problem so if there is anything that i have to do in order to get the controller to work with the game i have described please inform me asap! thankyou for any helpful tips

Hi everyone. In July I lived with my boyfriend at his dad's house while he was away. One day I got a pimple on my . I thought it was nothing until it grew and grew and hurt til I cried. I went to the doc he said NOTHIN about MRSA, just gave me Kaflex and told me to put warm compresses, which I did. It popped and I was overjoyed. But then, my boyfriend got a boil on his arm, one so deep that when it popped it looked like he had a bullet wound. Next, my mom had a huge painful abscess under her . I thought oh Goodness, but at least the doctors gave us all antibiotics and they all popped. I am very unlucky, I'm a sick person I've lost and gained a lot of weight in my life, have asthma, have been taken western medications all my life, have eczema, cold sores, and so on and thus I have an extremely weak immune system. More popped up. I honestly wasn't worried, I took the antibiotics and when they popped I was happy. Since that day in July I've had about 30, thankfully in places where no one can see. Or unthankfully because I am always in pain, one I had recently was bigger than a baseball and I had a fever/chills, nausea, and it popped over and over only to form more staph bacteria and keep getting infected. Its not even fully away. My boyfriend and I were going through rough times because of things and this sickness. My mom has one now, and she's a nurse, if anyone finds out she can get fired. If she gets too sick to work we will lose our home. No doctor ever mentioned MRSA to me, I had to find it online myself and ask for a test. Even my baby nephew has it now. I am so ashamed. I have no idea where it came from or who gave it to me. I only know it came when I was staying in my boyfriend's dad's apartment. They had a dog and I have a dog I'm suspicious that it was one of these dogs, either mine or his .. his was dirty! horrible! He broke up with me over this. Maybe it was my dog I'm suspicious he is from a puppy mill. It is ruining my life I'm always in pain and always have multiple boils and sick, I affect everyone around me. I have such a great feeling this is a government created disease to control the population. Antibiotics kill it for the moment, but it just comes back even stronger each time. I am so scared. Its all over our house. I know maybe it would help if we moved out of here and left all the linens and clothes and stuff to the trash, only bringing our furniture and other hardware valuables after being Lysoled. Shower every morning and change the new linens everyday. Eat a no sugar diet, use manuka honey or turmeric. Who knows if that will even work. I have a small pond containing several comets and 2 wild perch. The perch don't mess with the comets but I am concerned that it might be different with a fancy goldfish. Why do I crave foods I don't like?

This is something new and no, I'M NOT PREGNANT!! Somedays I'll crave random foods that I don't like at all. Like the other day I craved Pringles and then Frito's and Bean Dip. EW! OMG this is making me angry?

Ok so I went and bought this tanning lotion for one pound at poundland only to have an allergic reaction to it. I was stupid not to read the label on the back saying don't put on clothes until lotion has been absorbed and now I keep getting welts! I have been using this cream like a calamine lotion but it doesn't take away the welts. I just want them gone. I also tanned before bed then straight again in the morning this was about 5 days ago and since then I have had showers and it still has not stopped the welts.

I had ulnar nerve transposition in the left elbow and went back to work after two days, even though my doctor recommended 6-8 weeks off (I was self-employed and could not afford to take off that much time, but I also worked at home). This is not an easy surgery and you will need a lot of therapy. If you are truly having an ulnar nerve transposition, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY you will be able to go back to work the next day. There must be some serious miscommunication between you and your doctor.....if not, then you really need to find a more realistic doctor. If your doctor is telling you that, then run straight to another doctor....you don't want a doctor that is telling you that doing the surgery on your arm. My ophthalmologist observed that my right pupil was slightly larger than my left. My primary care doctor sent me to a neurologist. He thought it might be related to a benign tumor that I had had on my left brachioplexus nerve. He thought it was that my left pupil was smaller, not my right bigger, and that my left eyelid might be slightly droopy too. I showed him old photos and I may have had the condition for a while. But he wants me to have a brain MRI/MRA. Of course, I fear the worst--a brain tumor. However, I have no symptoms other than the pupil issue. No headaches, dizzyness, nausea, blackouts, etc. My ophthalmologist found nothing else--although there is a history of glaucoma in my family. Optic nerve healthy, retina healthy, etc. What are the odds that I have a brain tumor? The neurologist says he expects nothing but wants to put it "to rest." Should I believe him?
