How to dress like your from the 90's without wearing jeans??!?!?

ok, at our school we are having a spirit week and tomorrow i have to either dress like im from the 90's or like im a baby (which im not doing) and the dress code is pretty strict, were not allowed to wear jeans. the first thing i thought of with the 90's was doc martens, torn denim and plaid shirts. ttt, no jeans allowed :[ soo any ideas as to how i can dress to show our 90's spirit? lol i know its random but seriously please help. i was also kind of thinking of candygirl/rave but im afraid it would be to colorful for me and plus i go to a private school. so its not like i could really fully explain the reason for dressing like that (raves link to drugs//parties) its the ultimate shunnnn. lol
