No Ring, No = No Date or Calls?

I had started a get tough policy on guys as to dating. I would tell guys unless I get a ring, there will be no . Usually before the first date, I would let guys know my policy, Some would stick around for one or two more dates, and then disappear. Others never physically materialized for a casual meeting before dating at Starbuck's. While I have been successful at "defending my honor", the phone doesn't seem to be ringing off the wall. Are guys only into you if they want , or am I being too strict.
