Yes you have to apply for this test named Vestibular (which contains all subjects, chem, math, portuguese and so on). You have to know portuguese in order to get in. As for schools if u are in high school probably only private schools will accept you in, but if you have finished High school you can apply for USP (Universidade de S�o Paulo) which is a public univeristy.
