Clarinet....what???

my daughter is going to start band next year and she is playing the clarinet. i dont want to buy an expensive one in case she doesnt stick with it. i also dont want a piece of crap. i found a vinci Bb clarinet for 199.00 and i can handle that price but what does the Bb stand for? does it matter? are there Aa, Cc, etc? also...does anyone know anything about that brand? i found it at Hastings and couldnt find a worker that could tell me anything about it!
